My boots aren't polished.

Tracey Koester & “Hotrod”

I take pride in the fact that my work boots are dirty. I grew up in the beef industry in the Badlands of western North Dakota. My family, Leland Red Angus, continues to raise reputation seedstock on the same land that was homesteaded nearly 100 years ago by my grandfather.

I also work for the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association. Belonging to your industry associations is part of your responsibility to the industry. I strongly encourage you to belong to your state and national breed and industry associations. There isn’t a better time to join and band together to preserve our agriculture lifestyle.

My husband, Steve, and I, along with our daughters, ranch in south central North Dakota. At Koester Red Angus, we raise commercial cattle, fall-born Red Angus seedstock and an occasional litter of working Border Collie pups. We believe in the ranching lifestyle and that agriculture is the core of America.

Following graduation, I was able to combine my passion for artwork, advertising and agriculture into Cow Camp Promotions. I enjoy working for the different breeds and believe good cattle raised by good people will continue to feed the world.
